Question 1

Car Parking - How has the car park been affected?

Accepted Answer

The car park is still in use but the old entrance is closed. Instead you will need to access the car park from Church Lane. Please be aware this is now an entrance and exit, be aware of other vehicles.
For now, once you have parked you will need to walk out of the gap in the wall at the side of the car park and down Walkern Road to the front entrance of the hotel.
If you have lots of luggage, are arriving in a taxi or uber or have someone that is unable to walk the short distance from the car park there is a space to pull in where the old car park entrance used to be where you can drop off/unload.

Will my event be affected?

Accepted Answer

No, the only areas of the hotel that are affected are the car park entrance and the old “secret garden” which has now been removed (and all plants relocated to our sister hotel, Brownsover Hall).

Question 3

I am having my wedding at Hotel Cromwell, how will it be affected?

Accepted Answer

Your event will not be affected. The function areas of the hotel are unchanged. If your ceremony is taking place outside, we will ensure that our building team are not making any noise during the event.

Question 4

If we choose an outdoor ceremony, will the view be ruined by visible building works?

Accepted Answer

No. We have erected a hoarding around the building works and this will be decorated to ensure any photographs/view from the function rooms will not be spoiled.

Question 5

How long will the project take?

We cannot guarantee a finish date, but we are hoping to be completed by the Autumn.

When will the Orangery be opening?

Accepted Answer

We don’t know an opening date yet, follow us on socials to keep up-to-date with the project!

Question 7

Will there be a new pathway/entrance to walk from the car park to reception?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When the work is complete there will be an entrance through the rear of the hotel.

Question 8

Will it just be afternoon tea in the Orangery or will it be open to events?

Accepted Answer

Whilst the Orangery will predominantly be a tea room, we hope to also hold a range of events in there throughout the year.

Question 9

Are we going to be holding private events in the Orangery?

Accepted Answer

The honest answer is we are not sure yet! We are waiting to see exactly how it looks and if it lends itself to private events.

Question 10

Is it going to be open all the time or will it just be set times?

Accepted Answer

Opening hours will be published nearer to the launch.

Question 11

What time does work begin in a morning if we chose to stay the night with you?

Accepted Answer

Work will take place Monday to Friday from 8am but noise will be kept to a minimum before 9am.
